Shelter Cafe by Javaphile, Versova

Shelter x Javaphille has this cosy atmosphere with huge glass windows so plenty or natural light. There’s a huge bookshelf should you feel the need to entertain hour eyes the old fashioned way! Their menu is very creative. There’s fusion dishes galore. Also some OG and comfort dishes too. Lunch was excellent. Grilled cheese sand-which with honey dip was splendid. The idli eggs was a fusion dish that i thought was unique. Do try it. Corn fritters were light and I kept wanting to pop them in the mouth. Green chutney was fabulous. Pizza was soft and cheesy. The coffee and match tea were well brewed. I thank the staff and manager for excellent service. Do visit!

Went in for coffee with some professionals. Cappuccino was great blend, frothy enough. The carrot cake was superb and good to go with the coffee. Later had avocado toast which was amazing and crunchy. The dessert was superb too though I can’t recall its name… but it was their best selling. Best part was there was no Internet and we could really connect offline

Shelter is one of the best cafes we've been to in Versova that's spacious and pet friendly. And to top it all the food was incredible. Everything that we had was absolutely delicious, honestly we were surprised at how good everything was since this was our first time and we didn't know what to expect. The staff is super friendly and polite and our furry pet was happy too. If you are looking for a pet friendly place with amazing for then I highly recommend this place. We are already planning our next trip

The smoky, cheesy Chicken Tinga Pizza is baked to perfection with bold flavors & a crisp base. Creamy, aromatic Spaghetti Pesto that tastes like comfort in every forkful. Tangy-spicy Prawns Pepperoncino for that seafood zing. Fresh & wholesome Mad Salmon Sandwich. Flaky, buttery Almond Croissant that melts in your mouth. Their most-loved Hot Chocolate is a must-have – rich, velvety & perfect with a book in hand. And don’t miss out on their refreshing beverages – the perfect sip to cool down and complete your café experience.

The place is quite cosy calm homely, with aesthetic decor gives a feel of a Mediterranean atmosphere with Whitewashed walls, rustic wooden accents, terracotta tiles, and bursts of turquoise, seafoam, and sun-kissed yellow reflect the colors of the coastal landscape. Whether it’s an open-air terrace  or an intimate indoor space with mosaic details, the ambiance encourages guests to slow down and savor the moment just as they would on a quiet Greek island or seaside village. Hospitality just felt like home I would say it was more than a meal and a mini Vacation. this place is pet friendly I came to know on visiting the spot however I would not appreciate pets in a restaurant the place does not smell but I do not prefer but since I paid a visit I adjusted my space. we ordered few dishes that was signature ones like paneer thecha curry was a mix of rice and curry and was good we ordered penne pomodoro pasta, some truffle Fries, happy hippie pizza and in drinks match with vanilla which was not great in taste for vanilla flavor was stronger than matchs flavor however mocha frappe was good last hazelnut babka in desser we only enjoyed the top chocolate layer but the bread was hard. I guess ambience steals d show but food needs to be worked on and can be improved.

Shelter Cafe is my new favorite hideout in Versova, and for good reason! The atmosphere here is simply unmatched. The name "Shelter" is very fitting, as the place provides a wonderfully cozy and intimate space away from the city's hustle. The decor, with its wooden accents and warm lighting, creates an inviting and serene environment. It's an ideal spot for a date or a small gathering. But the real star of the show is the food. The menu is a testament to quality and taste. We ordered the grilled sandwiches and some of their signature desserts, and each bite was a treat. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the flavors were perfectly balanced. The staff is also very friendly and attentive, which adds to the overall pleasant experience. If you're looking for a cafe that combines a lovely, cozy ambiance with truly delicious food, Shelter Cafe is the place to be.

Shelter Café X Javaphile in Versova is truly a hidden gem! The moment you step in, you’re welcomed by cozy, chic interiors and a calm vibe that instantly makes you feel at peace. It’s the kind of café where time slows down and you just want to stay a little longer. I tried their Spicy Shrimp Saoji Curry, Spaghetti Pesto, Prawns Pepperoncino, and the Happy Happy Pizza—each dish had its own distinct flavor and felt so thoughtfully prepared. The highlight for me was the Cheesecake Brownie, which was indulgent and absolutely delicious. For drinks, I had the Javachip Frappe and Sea Salt Hot Chocolate—both perfect in their own way, one refreshing and the other soul-soothing. If you’re looking for a place that blends food, calmness, and aesthetics seamlessly, this café is the perfect little escape. Highly recommend!

Loved the cozy ambience. The easy music, the decor, the food all was perfect for a quiet catch up. Best part about food was there are healthy options as well as indulgent choices. We ordered the chicken tinga pizza with a frappe and cold coffee. All items were brilliant. Bonus- they have valet!
